About Us

Oviedo Coffee Co. was started because of our passion for coffee and lack of high quality offerings in the area. We take pride in the quality and freshness of each of our coffees and we want to share our passion with you. This is not grocery store coffee - this is specialty coffee made for coffee lovers.

We tend to make our roasts lighter than most big-name coffee shops. If you think most shops roast their beans too dark, we agree with you! Our medium roast is the one we spend hours perfecting. The balance of having a full-bodied mouthfeel while retaining the origin characteristics and complexity is what we strive for.

Our light roast is stopped right when first crack starts and yields a bean that has those fruity and origin notes amplified, but with a lighter, more caffeine-rich body. You will find very little roasty flavors in them and are suggested only for those who enjoy more of a tea-like coffee brew but desire the true taste of where the beans were grown.

Our dark roast, on the other hand, is still not as dark as what many coffee shops use for their espresso drinks, but still is preferred when making milk-based drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos. The darker roast holds up well with the added milk and makes it so that you can still taste that strong coffee flavor but also the hints of origin notes that are more present in the lighter roasts without getting into the "burned" category.

If you want a cup of coffee that screams big bold coffee flavors with that deep, rich body, then we recommend our Brazilian beans. They feature those chocolate notes that a lot of people associate with a rich cup of coffee and have a familiar coffee house feel. It's familiar because Brazil is the largest producer of coffee beans and most coffee shops and stores use Brazilian beans in their house roasts due to their consistent quality and ample supply.

If you are more of an adventurous coffee drinker, you will be pleased with our African, South American, and Seasonal selection. The Ethiopian, Kenyan, Peruvian, and other beans can be quite a new experience for some. These beans typically feature a more fruity flavor which can be deep and complex, sometimes tasting one way in the morning and another later in the day just due to how delicate the flavors are and what else you have had on your palette recently. These types of beans are appreciated in a way similar to how people approach and enjoy fine wines.

Please note that all of our coffees are sold in 16oz sizes to provide better value and reduce packaging waste.

Our coffees can be found at local businesses in the Oviedo area using this link. We also offer local delivery and UPS shipping options for those who want coffee roasted or ground a particular way.
